Green Juice or Protein Shake? 100% Green Juice. A green juice a day will change your life! Seriously, Eme, drink your green juice.

Morning Person or Night Owl? Morning person, definitely. My morning rituals (meditation, dry body brushing, hot lemon water and yoga, to name a few) seriously set me up for the rest of the day.

Pick your poison…ahem, cocktail. If I had to pick a cocktail, it would be a gin martini, dirty, with extra olives. But really I’m a red wine kind of girl.

I unwind by… indulging in lengthy baths – we’re talking candles, Epsom salts, seaweed concentrate, the red wine mentioned above and Netflix…the works.

My fridge is always stocked with… leafy greens, leafy greens, and more leafy greens! Did I mention leafy greens? Also, fermented veggies (I die for sauerkraut), green juice (obviously), filtered water, lemons, eggs and avocados. I keep my coconut oil on the counter, but I think it deserves to be mentioned here, too, since I use it for EVERYTHING! Oh, and a bottle of champagne – because you never know when you’ll have occasion to celebrate…

Go-to workout track? Constantly changing, especially since, as an aspiring DJ, I’m always on the hunt for new hot tracks. But right now I’m digging I Want U by Alison Wonderland for cardio and I Am Thine by Jai-Jagdeesh when I hit the yoga mat.

Yoga mat or gym rat? Yoga mat. #yogaeveryday

Wellness is all about… living your best life. When you can strike the balance that allows you to live life as your healthiest and happiest self – through the food choices you make, and by moving your body daily, practicing self-care and acting from a place of gratitude and service – then in my mind you have tapped into the true power of the wellness movement.

What motivates you on those days when you don’t want to get out of bed? I remind myself that I have never ever regretted showing up for my workouts. Workout buddies help, too!  Thanks, Eme.

Favorite comfort food? Prosciutto. Actually any cured meat. All of that salt can be super dehydrating but once in a while is sooooo worth it.



Green Juice or Protein Shake? Protein shakes, or preferably some egg whites with veggies in the morning.

Morning Person or Night Owl? Morning person. Working out in the morning is my time and when it is easiest to escape my inbox.

Pick your poison…ahem, cocktail. I’m not much of a cocktail person, preferring to stick to a nice glass of red wine, but when the occasion warrants, I enjoy some scotch or bourbon, neat.

I unwind by… cooking a nice meal and sitting on the couch with a good glass of red with friends or fiancé (or both).

My fridge is always stocked with… lots of veggies, usually spinach, tomatoes, peppers, lemons and chicken. There’s also usually seven or eight different types of hot sauce.

Go-to workout track? I’m a big electronic music fan, so I typically put on a live set/podcast. If it had to be a track though, it would be some old school Naughty by Nature – Hip Hop Hooray.

Yoga mat or gym rat? Gym rat.

Wellness is all about… balance. Finding the mix of healthy foods, treatments, classes or exercise that fits into your life and has a positive impact on your well-being. Balance should be incredibly personal as otherwise it is unsustainable.

What motivates you on those days where you don’t want to get out of bed? Good question. I try to trick myself and remember how good it feels after I work out and that if I don’t, that extra piece of pizza will definitely count. If that doesn’t work, I’m still in bed.

Favorite comfort food? Speaking of pizza – my favorite is definitely home-made pizza – loaded up with whatever salami or proscuitto looked good at the market that day, fresh veggies and hot sauce.
