SoulCycle’s Soul Annex is Here

Let’s cut straight to the big news here: SoulCycle’s SoulAnnex has finally arrived in NYC.

We’ve been following the trend of studios-as-labs (or spaces to sweat with beloved instructors outside of their usual classes) for some time: think Project by Equinox , YG Studios, and Studio B. So we were pumped to hear about the Queen Bee spin studio joining the mix with a creative space that will allow Soul and its instructors to test out new workouts.

According to their announcement, “SoulAnnex will be home to custom-created classes taught by the SOUL instructors you know and love, so you can move, define, and align in a new way to complement your favorite SoulCycle rides.”

Did we mention there aren’t any bikes at SoulAnnex?

Instead the studio will offer three modalities of classes:

  • MOVE: Think sweaty, cardio-based workouts set to a beat, using resistance bands or MMA techniques
  • DEFINE: Strength-based sessions focusing on HIIT and plyometrics (one class combines HIIT training with pilates)
  • ALIGN: The most mellow of the options, Align classes are geared towards active recovery with a focus on yoga, breath work, and stretching. But before you assume you won’t sweat in the Align classes, note that one option pairs weights with your flow.

Sadly for us Torontonians, SoulCycle hasn’t announced any plans to bring SoulAnnex to any other cities or north of the border, so for now this spot will be on our must-visit list for our next trip to NYC.

Get all the details and peek at the schedule here to plan your next visit to NYC. Classes are $34 USD.

Soul Annex is located at 32 West 18th Street in Manhattan.
