We were treated to a sweaty 30-minute class with a soundtrack packed with hip hop and remixes, led by Julie Dee. The studio’s co-owner is an impressively energetic teacher who can make even first-time riders and Squad members feel right at home.
Following our ride, we cooled off and re-hydrated with some delicious Tonica Kombucha and set up on the Queen street patio of 6ix Cycle for some gentle yoga with Christine Noonan. The poses – hip and chest openers, hamstring stretches – were thoughtfully programmed to ease the tightness after a ride. Other spin studios would do well to take note of this level of attention to their riders.
Huge thanks to 6ix Cycle and Christine Noonan for hosting us!
